HTC One V, cheapest mobile in the HTC One Series

HTC India had launched the cheapest smartphone in the HTC One series i.e. HTC One V in the month of April 2012. One can judge from HTC One V pictures that the mobile comes with stylish body design and is entirely a touchscreen gadget. The handset is very smartly designed and crafted and is also quite easy to hold/carry. The dimensions of the mobile are 120.3 x 59.7 x 9.2mm and it weighs roughly around 115 grams. This smartphone from HTC Mobiles gives a premium and superior feel in the palm. What makes this gadget more attractive is its low price. The company has tagged HTC One V price approximately around INR 17,500. It is powered by an Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system in conjunction with a powerful 1 GHz processor.

HTC One V features a 3.7 inch Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen, which offers a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels along with 16M colors. The screen also portrays a pixel density of 252ppi. The handset is outfitted with an autofocus 5 megapixel camera, which let the user to capture images at a resolution of 2592 X 1944 pixels. The 5MP features LED Flash, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. Video recording facility is also available in the mobile, which allows the user to shoot videos at 720 pixel resolution. The handset comes with an internal memory of 4 GB along with 511 MB of RAM. With the help of microSD card, the user can stretch the internal memory up to 32 GB, which allows him to amass ample number of songs, games, videos and other applications.
The gadget is loaded with connectivity options like GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth and Micro USB. The mobile also supports multi format audio and video player along with social networking applications like Facebook, Twitter and Gmail, which ensures the complete entertainment of the user. This stylish mobile from HTC sports an in-built FM Radio with RDS technology. The mobile works on HTML and Adobe Flash browser and it also supports standard messaging options like SMS, Email, Push Mail and IM. One can connect the earphones to 3.5mm audio jack in order to listen to the music. The top part of the phone houses power/lock button whereas volume rocker button is on the top right side and the micro USB port is at the underneath.
Some of the other attributes of this smartphone includes accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, A-GPS support, SNS integration, document editor, voice memo, predictive text input etc. This smartphone is laden with a standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery, which is quite capable of delivering a sufficient talk time, standby time along with music play back and browsing time. Though HTC One V sits beneath HTC One X and HTC One S in terms of features but still the gadget gives a strong battle to very well known gadgets like Sony Xperia Sola, Sony Xperia U and Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. In the catalog of upcoming mobiles, HTC is scheduling to launch two gadgets by the end of this year i.e. HTC Desire HD2 and HTC Revolver. The former is expected to come with a price tag of Rs. 25,000 whereas the latter is likely to fall near the range of Rs. 30,000.
